Coast to Coast Road Trip

With so much going on in peoples daily life, one sometimes forgets to take a moment to sit back and enjoy their surroundings. Or maybe take care of a few things that may be in their bucket list. And one of the top things on that list for me, was a road trip coast to coast! From Florida to California. I’ve mentioned the idea for years, until one day my sister decided to take a job at Lake Tahoe State Park, and I knew it was time to scratch that one off the bucket list.
Given the fact that we started planning a two week trip only a week before, I ended up getting into a bad motorcycle accident that left me with rashes from shoulders to feet, some spots taking off parts of my tattoos. But I wasn’t going to let that stop me, bandaged up with broken bones and all! So we decided to leave late in the evening with no traffic and get as far as we could the first day.
Once we got to Texas, is when the adventure actually started. We looked at all the national and state parks around as we continued to head to Cali. Which took us almost a week since there was so many amazing places we just had to see! And of course some of my favorite spots reside in Cali, there’s just something about beautiful cliffs dropping right into the ocean. And let’s not forget those sunsets, by far one of my favorite states in the country to visit, especially the north parts with the Red Woods and Sequoia Trees.
This has by far been one of my top road trips I have done Not only for all the breath taking views and being able to mark it off my bucket list, but also because I felt the bond my sister and I have grew that much more stronger. It’s not always easy being stuck in a car with someone for almost two weeks. But we had a blast and made the best of every given moment we had, and for that, I couldn’t have asked for a better coast to coast road trip partner!
